The Vario 800 shaft allows easy access to the EcoBloc system by commercially available inspection to cameras. This has been confirmed by several independent testing authorities.
The constructed infiltration tunnel drains cum rainwater harvesting structure will
facilitate the flow of excess runoff water from the local urban catchment / all the streets
to the Chitrakulam tank, whenever it rains.
Chennai Corporation initiated this project a pilot study in order to evaluate the efficiency and efficacy of this Storm Water Infiltration tunnel type drain which offers multi fold increase in the infiltration of runoff water and drain into Chitrakulam. This project has the inbuilt concept of Low Impact Development (LID) approach. This onsite development approach on the stormwater management is rapidly becoming the innovative Sustainable Urban Development Solution (SuDs) required design approach for managing urban runoff especially in coastal cities of developed nations.
